I was there. My favorite anecdote, which isn't included in the recording: After Fred Brooks finished his talk, Niklaus Wirth raised his hand. His question: "If adding people to a late project makes it later — does removing people make it go faster?" Brooks, without hesitation: "If you find the right people, yes."
