Google really needs to provide an action bar implementation in the compatibility package (for 2.3 and lower) if they want developers to port apps over to ICS.

I'm using sherlock in a few projects but ActionBarCompat mentioned below might be the way to go in the future.

I'm really hoping they do, and soon, because I'm just about to hack together an action bar for my 2.1-2.3 app.

Excellent! I was waiting for them to do a developer's blog post on backwards compatibility, but this is a huge help on getting started.
