I have two suggestions. 1. Use a good font on your site, e.g. Helvetica Neue, Open Sans, Proxima Nova 2. Make more padding in-between the top of background images and their text content

You have an almost 1 megabyte image on the homepage (the octopus). On my internet the image alone took about 4 seconds to load. You should consider optimizing it

Yes, I have used a web browser before today.

It doesn't work unless you interact with elements on the page first, in which case the library catches space.

Hence my instruction not to touch anything on the page.

That doesn't seem to be the case for me. OS 10.8/Chrome 29.
