One of my roommates who was premed had a "hot car" poster as a motivational study aid. After a short term as a candy striper at a local hospital, he changed majors. The system works! ;-)

If you can't arrest the human, arrest the vehicle. The vehicle is obviously guilty, and is not protected by the right to confront its accusers, which are also machines.

Of course, with the advent of AI-enhanced surveillance and "smart" cars, we have have to have a separate traffic court for machines.

Then snowflake SJW machine-huggers will demand a machine Bill of Rights ...

Nevermind. ;-)

This would be an interesting use of civil forfeiture.

Modern tech stacks always remind me of this cartoon:

Cute, thought I’d seen them all but I guess not.

Today's free verse:

Why can't people read stuff before commenting?

Why can't people read stuff before?

Why can't people read stuff?

Why can't people read?

Why can't people?

Why can't?

Why?

?

This reminds me of the shim scene in "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".

Too late for that. If you can't do it on a smart phone, it's not worth doing. And with AI, who needs a GUI?

If you like drink interested PRs dreams on sale yes, but reality is quite different.

The OEMs who have lied https://unctad.org/system/files/official-document/der2024_en... through their teeth about the lifespan of a well-made desktop to compare it to a smartphone are simply on their last financial legs; their Nazi wet dream doesn't scale. A society like that doesn't work. That's why they'll collapse just like their German-speaking counterparts did a few years back.

The West is collapsing to save four kleptocrats and their model of exploiting us all; nature doesn't give a toss, it carries on her way and so does technology. Dead wood can stay standing for a long time, in some cases it even becomes a fossilised trunk, but it doesn't evolve; it's still a dead branch.

If you think the current Office model will be replaced by some LLM, you're dreaming just like those who hope for it and are working to make it happen. Sure, plenty of jobs are no longer necessary and gradually mankind, if we don't commit suicide first, will end up only creating new knowledge while machines apply it, but this model only works if it's open, distributed, and diverse enough to be resilient and evolve. The current monochrome model can only flare up and die.

Try giving this problem to different AI LLM chatbots:

If I could make a rocket that could accelerate at 3 Gs for 10 years, how long would it take to travel from Earth to Alpha Centauri by accelerating at 3 Gs for half the time, then decelerating at 3 Gs for half the time?

Hint: They don't all get it right. Some of them never got it right after hints, corrections, etc.

I wonder if Fahrenheit 451 was banned too? Or maybe it was kept as a how-to manual?
